Julija Pustovrh is a Slovenian born artist now living and creating in Edinburgh, UK. She has been working as an independent ceramicist since 2014 and has her own studio at Abbeymount studios. She is also working as a technician at the Edinburgh Ceramics Workshop.

Julija has always drawn inspiration from nature. Her work explores the forms, textures and patterns in micro and macro scales. She studied landscape architecture at Edinburgh College of Art and you can see the influence of her background in this field in all of her work.

SANDSCAPE COLLECTION
Julija works with high fired stoneware and porcelain, she mixes in sand collected from all over Scotland (Orkney, Shetland, Outer Hebrides). That is what gives each piece its own unique texture and colour. The collection is ongoing and each batch has it's own character and uniqueness.
