Rachel trained as a fine artist (printmaker specialising in screen printing) and completed her Post Graduate at Glasgow School of Art. This training has greatly influenced her illustrative technique and enabled her to create images which are bold and stylish.

The images are very detailed and each design can take many days to complete. Working from black to white Rachel uses a unique technique then renders each image giving it that distinctive and rich finish.

Signature collections include ‘Bold Blooms’ a range of intricate floral illustrations based on drawings of some of Rachel’s favourite flowers from her own garden in the Scottish Borders, and ‘Fabulous Feathers’ – a series of exotic bird illustrations celebrating the wondrous colours found in nature.

Rachel applies her images to a range of products from blank greeting cards, to gift wrap and ceramic tiles and has recently introduced other homewares to the collection. Rachel’s designs are also available as prints.
