Founders Laurence and Jane are the team behind Woolkind’s made-to-order knitwear accessories. Old friends with a family history of knitting, they decided to quit the rat race to champion the made-to-order revolution with Scottish knitwear. They recognised an opportunity to redefine Scotland's woollen heritage and created Woolkind to weave tradition with contemporary relevance.

Woolkind’s made-to-order, size-inclusive, and non-gendered accessories are designed to let your individuality shine bright. Each accessory is crafted with care and precision, only brought to life when you decide to make it yours. Choosing Woolkind means more than just buying knitwear accessories: it's a conscious decision for a wardrobe that's sustainable and responsible.

Laurence & Jane spent significant time researching their supply chain to ensure traceability of their wool (the only raw material), and ensuring their packaging is environmentally friendly (it’s 100% compostable). Similarly, they adopt a no-waste approach to their manufacturing, and all orders are made to order so there is never any surplus stock.

Customers can use the Woolkind website to customise knitwear from the range of 16 beautiful colours, (brights to neutrals) making the knits quite unique to their taste and requirements. Everything is then lovingly made to order from their little studio in Edinburgh. The current range includes beautifully soft 100% merino scarves and fingerless mittens, but their ambition is to launch their own range of size inclusive sweaters in time.

The team welcome enquiries about bespoke items, either working to a customer’s photo or design, or even a very vague idea that requires further creative development! Trade enquiries are welcome.
