Sarah Louise Artist
Originally from the big skies of Suffolk, Sarah’s family moved to south-west Scotland in the late 1980s. Following two successful careers in engineering and event management, Sarah seized the opportunity to fulfil her life-long ambition and in 2021 established Sarah Louise Artist as a full-time business.
For four years Sarah studied at the Robinwood Art School in Alloway under the tutelage of Joan Lawson. Learning colour theory and a variety of mixed media techniques Sarah fell in love with the movement of water mixable oil paint.
Sarah offers a fabulous collection of original paintings, Giclée prints and greetings cards. The surrounding Galloway and Ayrshire scenery and characters observed in our Scottish wildlife inspire Sarah’s creations.
One of Sarah’s many favourite views which features often in her work is of Ailsa Craig which sits proudly in the Firth of Clyde. Sarah has not only sailed around the granite rock but also has landed ashore to take in the views of the mainland and surrounding sea life.
Sarah also offers bespoke commissions re-creating a special place or view onto canvas in any size, supplied either framed or unframed for yourself or as a gift for a loved one.
