Rocks on Paper is the creative moniker of self-taught artist Vojta Hýbl. While studying a BSc in Geology & Physical Geography at The University of Edinburgh, Vojta realised that his true passion wasn’t in researching rocks but in sharing his enthusiasm for geology with everyone else. He decided to combine science communication with being creative and just like that, Rocks on Paper was born. Gathering inspiration from the outdoors, numerous museum visits and his own (ever-growing) rock collection, Vojta uses gouache to create detailed paintings that are both aesthetic and educational.
