Launched by friends Alexandra and Christina, Ornato is an independent jewellery brand based in the West End of Glasgow. Ornato derives from the Latin word ōrnātus, which means ornament- something that lends grace and beauty. For Alexandra and Christina, beauty lies in imperfection. It is the imperfections that give a piece of handmade jewellery depth and character; anything perfect is machine made.
