Martha Duncan Studio

Martha is a printmaker and designer who is just getting used to the idea of maybe calling herself an illustrator. She is a graduate from Architecture from Glasgow School of Art gone rogue who started a printmaking business from home during the pandemic as an opportunity to return to my artistic routes. Since then she has developed a body of print work and more recently ceramics that she creates at her studio in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Her prints are fun and colourful, taking inspiration from human quirks, overheard conversations, architecture and animals. Most of Martha's work uses the linocut printmaking technique, handmaking a range of open edition and limited edition prints.

Martha's ceramics lean more towards her architectural past, with a range of ceramic vases and vessels inspired by midcentury forms and illustrated with motifs she has developed from her printmaking and illustration practice.
