Lynn Hanley has lived and worked in Edinburgh for 30 years, joining the Coburg House Studios community in Leith 14 years ago. Her paintings are colourful and full of quirky details. Inspired by the city of Edinburgh and East Lothian where she now lives she reproduces the paintings into beautiful gifts and homewares. Her background in printed textile design and love of colour and pattern give her work an unusual style. Often described as a cross between Beryl Cook and a colourful Lowery her paintings are full of characters giving life to the recognisable scenes of Edinburgh and Scotland. Her giftware, mugs, placemats, greetings cards and prints are all produced in Scotland and her textiles are printed in England. She undertakes commissions for paintings for special occasions and places special to you which can include personalised details for a bespoke original painting.
