Last Winter make handmade modern ceramic homeware. All pieces are made by Nicola, working from her home studio in Perthshire.

Nicola’s practice started with creating slip cast earthenware pieces, and over time has expanded to using a variety of techniques from hand building to wheel thrown pieces, in both earthenware and stoneware. Her work reflects her desire to refine understanding of each stage in the creation of pottery; turning mud into delicate and useful objects.

Last Winter is inspired by nature and the mountains. The work is decorated using minimalist patterns based on the sights and surroundings of rural Perthshire. A mixture of decorative techniques are used, from hand painted designs, to printing and sgraffito.

Current work includes a variety of items from decorative items, plant pots and vases to bathroom accessories.
