Kate Trouw is a former architect who launched her jewellery line in 2014. She has now produced five collections of elegant yet playful statement pieces which can be worn every day.

She lives with her young son in a coastal village and has a studio in a converted Art Deco cinema located high on a cliff looking out over the Firth of Forth. Here she uses non-traditional materials to make lightweight pieces which sit softly against your skin.

She believes that jewellery doesn’t have to be full on bling, it can also be tactile and colourful. Proportion, balance and composition can be as effective as glinting stones for those who want to make a quiet statement.
