Founded in 2014 by Grays School of Art Fashion Design graduate Laura Sherriffs, Fernweh UK is an accessories brand based in Aberdeen. Laura creates handcrafted bags, hats and accessories inspired by a sense of adventure and the Scottish wilderness. Colour palettes reflect the rich landscapes, coasts and lochans of the Highlands and North East, and Laura uses natural, carefully considered materials such as Scottish waxed canvas, wools and leather which ties her work directly to the land.

Laura creates rugged, unique designs that blend aesthetics with function, taking inspiration from traditional materials and giving them a modern twist. Another passion for Fernweh is sustainability, and Laura strives to create a brand and products that reflect these values, creating designs that minimise waste, using offcuts where possible and making products that last.

Each step of every Fernweh piece is handcrafted with the highest attention to detail in Laura's studio in Aberdeen.
