dot&hana
Handcrafted in Perthshire, dot&hana creates considered clothing from beautiful, hand-picked textiles. Every garment is designed, cut, and sewn by Rachael in her studio, ensuring that each piece gets the attention it deserves. By keeping production small and personal, she focuses on creating clothes that feel as good as they look, focusing on the quality of the make rather than fleeting industry trends.
The heart of the brand is Rachael’s genuine appreciation for the fabrics she works with. She spends her time seeking out materials that truly stand out - from bold florals and classic Liberty prints to tactile linens and specialist textiles sourced from Japan. Whether it is an intricate Japanese weave or a simple, reliable cotton, she likes to find materials that are beautiful to handle and turn them into clothing that you can't wait to wear.
This approach results in clothing with character, such as her Gardener’s Gilets, which are often created using patchwork offcuts and finished with Sashiko stitching. Rachael’s aesthetic balances playful details with a refined, grown-up sensibility, taking a more subtle approach to current trends and creating silhouettes that feel sophisticated and easy to wear. These are garments made to be lived in and loved for years.
