Blue Ranchu Designs is owned and run by Glasgow-based designer and artist Laura Donnelly.

A classically trained musician, Laura left her career in music and events to retrain in Graphic Design. Having always been a creative and artistic person, she decided to turn her passion for craft and design into a full-time business.

Blue Ranchu Designs creates a range of contemporary and fun home accessories and gifts. Signature designs are bold, colourful and engaging and are inspired by a love of nature and animals. And dogs! Especially Dachshunds!

Laura’s designs start out as sketches and drawings which she then finishes digitally. She makes many of her products in her home studio and she prides herself on being able to produce beautiful products to a very high standard. This also means she can create one-off designs and commissions for that extra special gift.

Laura is also passionate about supporting other small businesses and works closely with a handful of Scottish and UK based manufacturers.
