Bianca O'Neill Jewellery
Since her studies at the Glasgow School of Art, Bianca has been inspired by urban environments - the architecture, man-made creations in all their utility, geometric forms, and the sharpness of human influence on the world.
Drawn to the beauty that can often be taken for granted in functionality, and the creativity of design and engineering solutions that surround us, she explores these themes through her practice both in aesthetic and in how she approaches the design and creation of her pieces. Texture, and the contrast of textures, are at the forefront of her current work.
Her hope is to create items that embody these themes, and enjoys the design parameters afforded when exploring utility and “anti-aesthetics” as a means to creating adornment.
Bianca started BON Jewellery in 2020 after spending ten years post-studies as a carer and a brief, ill-fated spell as a scenic artist. She hand makes her sterling silver jewellery from her home studio in Troon.
Bianca also has a beautiful cat that is objectively better than any other.
Her name is Lottie.
