Astrid Weigel is a textile designer/maker working in Ayrshire producing hand printed home accessories. Alongside her core range of screen printed home wares, the collection is regularly added to producing a striking and very distinctive body of work.

Having trained in Printed Textiles at Derby University, Astrid worked in the furnishing fabrics market as a designer over a number of years. Now based in Ayrshire, she produces a range of screen printed accessories for the home.
The collection comprises wall art, cushions, table runners, as well as smaller interior accessories . Using nature as its recurring theme and primarily a palette of black and white, this work reflects her interest in nature, bold graphic woodcut/lino prints and gives a nod to mid 20th century design.

Fabrics are printed in small quantities after which it is embellished with a variety of techniques such as free machine embroidery, hand stitching and adding touches of colour by hand.
