Creative Strathaven CIC

Creative Strathaven was founded in March 2017 as a way of meeting like-minded, creative people living in the local area. Since then, the organisation has run various workshops from embroidery to screen printing, and from macrame to illustration. There's also the monthly Cake and Makes (they're a bit like a knit and natter where everyone brings something to make whilst have a cup of tea, and slice of cake), and Creative Socials (a chance for everyone to meet for a drink and catch up on all the goings on).
The first Christmas Makers Market was held in November 2017 with the next one (hopefully) being held this November. The Market has gone from strength to strength with more applications, and visitors each year.
Creative Strathaven's space at 2 Barn Street Mews officially opened on 18th July 2020. The space is predominantly a shop selling and showcasing work by over 40 local, and Scotland based Makers. But with Covid restrictions being lifted, it will soon turn into a creative community space with lots of different events and activities happening.
