Handmade decorative fish made with stoneware clay, it is first bisque fired in an electric kiln. Glaze is applied and then each individually made fish is fired in a kiln using the Japanese Raku firing technique, going up to approx. 950ºC.

The turquoise and blue glazes can take on different colours, sometimes copper and sometimes crackles appear. Where there is no glaze the clay takes on the black from the smoke. A Raku firing always comes with wonderful surprises.
